Selma Cash Paty has been in practice since 1949 and has become a legend in her own time and a role model for young women lawyers. Ms. Paty was the first female President of both the Chattanooga Bar Association and the Chattanooga Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Paty was also the first female attorney admitted into the Tennessee Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocacy Association. She is a Fellow of the Chattanooga Bar Association. Ms. Paty served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Bar Association. Ms. Paty has also served on the Hamilton County, Tennessee Juvenile Court Commission from 1968 through 1974 and the Tennessee Commission on the status of women from 1974 through 1976. In 1993, Ms. Paty was admitted to the National Association of Trial Advocates.
